Kerala HC Reserves Anticipatory Bail Order Filed by Actor Vijay Babu

The Single Judge Bench of Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas has reserved the order of Anticipatory Bail and allowed the interim bail till the case is disposed off in case of actor Vijay Babu alleged of raping a new actress.

The actor was in Dubai as he went on April 24 for a film shoot but after that this case was filed so through his advocate he filed a application for Anticipatory Bail contending that he want to return in the jurisdiction of the Court but he is apprehended that he will be arrested.

He further contended that police will arrest him in airport without giving a chance to speak so he should be given anticipatory bail. The case was file just to blackmail him and it is false allegation.

The police had registered a case without investigating that allegations are true or false.

The Advocate of the complainant opposed the anticipatory bail stating that he wants to come back because police had issued the lookout notice against him and in case he didn’t come his passport can also be expounded.

The Court however granted him interim bail at the end last month stating that it is in the interest of prosecution, complainant and applicant that applicant reach within the jurisdiction of the Court. The Court also directed him to cooperate in the investigation.
