Justice Satish Chandra Sharma took oath of office as the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.
The oath was administered by Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena in the presence of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal at Raj Niwas.
On June 19, the Central government notified the appointment of Justice Sharma as Chief Justice of Delhi High Court. He was previously posted as the Chief Justice Of Telangana High Court.
The transfer of Justice Sharma was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium Headed by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana in a resolution passed on May 17, 2022.
