Justice Paresh Upadhyay, who is currently serving in Gujarat High Court confirmed his transfer to Madras High Court.

The Judge on Monday in an open court stated that he himself is informing everyone that he is under Transfer and asked everyone not to believe everything mentioned in Newspaper Reports.

Adding to it, Justice Paresh said that now he is going to take urgent matter or matters which are partly heard.

“One mentioning from my side, let us not go by your WhatsApp University or Newspaper report. I inform all of you that yes, I am under transfer and therefore, we will be only taking (up) urgent matters. Now my priorities will change,” said Justice Paresh.

Justice Paresh responded to a News published by Gujarat Samachar on 20th September.

The News report claimed that Justice Paresh is going to be transferred to Madras High Court.

On 20th September, the Bench of Justice Upadhyay was about to listen detailed matter but now the Bench either will be listening urgent matters or matter which are partly heard.

For now, there hasn’t been any official announcement but several media houses have claimed that around 41 judges, 13 Chief Justices of different High Courts and 28 Judges are being transferred.

If this happens, this will be one of the biggest reshuffling done by Apex Court in recent times.

Recently, in month of August, 9 Judges were appointed to Supreme Court by the recommendation made by Collegium which was accepted by the President of India.

In recent times, the Supreme Court Collegium also recommended 68 names for elevation as judges of 12 High Courts to the Central Government.
