Indrani Mukerjea, the Former Media Executive who was accused of killing Sheena Bora, her daughter stated that the reply of Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) to her application contained submissions that were False, Deceptive, and Devoid of any merit.

Mukerjea had filed an application for the examination of a former Police Inspector and Inmate, Asha Korke. Allegedly, Asha Korke had told Mukerjea that she met a woman who looked like Sheena Bora in Kashmir in 2021.

The Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) in reply claimed, this was an effort by Mukerjea to delay her Trial.

Indrani Mukerjea’s reply stated, “It is Preposterous to claim that the intent is Malafide when the applicant has rightfully informed the CBI and the court when she has received information regarding Korke.” The reply was filed in a Court in Mumbai.

Mukerjea’s lawyer Sana Raees, in her rejoinder, stated that The Central Bureau Investigation’s (CBI) reliance on the ‘Cooked up Story’ of the accused turned approver, driver Shyam Rai over the ‘True Claim’ of the former inmate who has served in the Maharashtra Police Service for 25 years was ‘Highly Preposterous’.

The rejoinder said “It is unfortunate that CBI has chosen to rely upon an untruthful driver over a dedicated officer from the Police Force

Mukerjea stated that the Medical and Scientific Evidence available works to absolve her of any suspicion and also reveals the ‘Shoddy Investigation Conducted’ and the ‘Manipulation by the Investigating Team’ which was done ‘To Falsely Implicate her in the Case.’

In her reply, Mukerjea also alleged that the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) did not want to examine Asha Korke as the “Second-Rate and Manipulated Investigation conducted by CBI will be exposed and their Malafide conduct will come to the fore.”

Until she can make any further submissions, Indrani Mukerjea has asked for the matter to be kept on hold.

In 2015, along with her then-husband, Peter Mukerjea, and her former husband, Sanjeev Khanna Mukerjea was arrested for the killing of her daughter Sheena Bora.
