FIR filed against Param Bir Singh under corruption charges

Inspector Bhimrao Ghadge filed an FIR against former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, DCP Parag Manere and 26 other policemen for corruption charges, at Akola in Maharashtra.

On Monday, 26th April 2021, Inspector Ghadge attached to the Akola Police control room had made allegations against the former Mumbai Police Chief Param Bir Singh and demanded an inquiry and the registration of an FIR against the Officer.

Ghadge alleged that the Officer had called him to drop the names of some of the high profiles accused by him in a cheating case.

On Wednesday, 28th April 2021, Ghadge registered a FIR against the 33 Police personnel under various Sections that ranged from criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence and Sections of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention Atrocities Act, 1989).

The Anti-Corruption Bureau was also asked to look into these allegations.
