ED Issues Second Summon Against MP Sanjay Raut to Face Probe on July 1

The Enforcement Directorate has issued the second summon to Shiv Sena Politician and Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut.

The ED had earlier issued summon in favor of Sanjay Raut to be present before the agency on Tuesday for which he could be present but his lawyers met ED.

His lawyers seeks two weeks time so that he can complete his official commitments before appearing in front of ED. On Tuesday, he had a meeting in Alibaug in Raigad district because of which he cannot be present for the proceedings.

The ED has issued the second summon and allowed him to join the investigation on July 1 that means ED had given him time of month end to be present.

In the press conference, Sanjay Raut cleared that he will cooperate with ED and will meet them but right now Maharashtra is facing big political crisis. He said that he makes the law in the Parliament and that is why he knows laws and will also abide by them.

Raut had alleged ED is doing it in the political influence and it was wrong. It is planned to do so that he can be harassed but he will not join the hands with the one who are sitting in the Guwahati.

In 2018, Mumbai’s economic offences wing had registered the FIR against Guru Ashish Constructions Pvt. Ltd., R. Kumar Wadhwan, S. Kumar Wadhwan and Praveen Raut former director. On the basis of this registered First Information Report, Enforcement Directorate is still investigating the matter.
