ED filed Chargesheet Against Nawab Malik for Expropriating Property with D-company

The Special Judge of Special Court under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), RN Rokade issued the Notice to Malik and other Accused in the complaint made by Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The Court found that there were sufficient Grounds to Proceed in the Proceeding.

The cognizance was taken by the Court against the chargesheet filed by ED in Laundering Case accusing Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra Government Nawab Malik had links with Don Dawood Ibrahim.

“Malik in connivance with D­company members, hatched a criminal conspiracy for usurping the prime property belonging to Mrs. Munira Plumber (complainant). Therefore, the above property usurped by accused (Malik) in connivance with Hasina Parkar and others (D-company), is proceeds of crime under PMLA.”

“The said acquisition of the proceeds of crime is generated from the illegal activities. There is Prima Facie Evidence to indicate that the accused is directly and knowingly involved in money laundering offence, therefore, he is responsible for committing the offence of Money Laundering and is liable for Punishment,” seven-page Order stated.

Underworld Syndicate whose head is Dawood Ibrahim is informally known as D-company.

The complaint stated that Malik conspired with D- company to execute the documents which are illegal by falsely displaying it to be Sadar Khan who was accused in Bombay Blast of 1993 was also a part of it.

The land belonged to Dawood Ibrahim was purchased at lower price than market value by Nawab Malik.

Nawab Malik was interrogated on February 23 than remanded under Custody of ED and at last sent to Judicial Custody. His Habeas Corpus Writ Petition was dismissed by Bombay High Court which was upheld by Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court suggested to file Bail under Special Court but till now no Bail was filed by his side under Special Court as he has not got the Copy of Complaint filed by ED.

The Court allowed Malik to take treatment in private hospital of his choice.
