On Thursday, the Delhi High Court expunged remarks which were made by its Judge against Actress Juhi Chawla, who had filed a Lawsuit questioning the establishment of 5G wireless networks in the country due to health risks, in order to gain publicity.

A Bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Jasmeet Singh also lowered Chawla’s costs from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, saying she did not approach the 5G matter in a “Frivolous and casual manner”.

The Division Bench permitted Chawla’s Appeal and overturned the Single Judge’s Order passed on June 04, 2021 which dismissed the suit as “Faulty,” “Misuse of process of law,” and lodged for “Obtaining publicity”.

The actress was present at the Virtual Hearing and offered to work with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) and appear in Programmes that aim to empower the society’s marginalised groups.
