On 21st December, the Bombay High Court dismissed the plea made by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which challenged the order passed by the sessions court in favour of Jet Airways.

In October, the sessions judge had dismissed the ED’s plea to intercede in the alleged case of cheating and criminal breach of trust against Jet Airways.

In October, Shriram Shirsat, representing the ED, had sought an urgent hearing before Justice Justice Revati Mohite Dere.

This was done so as a case of closure was filed before the magistrate court in the Jet Airways case.

The ED contended that the closure report was “merely an eyewash” and further stated that the case against Jet Airways is more than just a business loss.

They also contended that the money was being redirected to foreign bank accounts and that the complainant had submitted specific details of the alleged off-shore accounts.
