Furthermore it was reported that the secret app, which can hijack the ‘Trending’ section of Twitter and the ‘Trend’ section of Facebook, phish ‘Inactive’ WhatsApp accounts, and use a database of private individuals for harassment and bullying.

“The government is clearly working in conjunction with Tek Fog . The BJP, in particular, is joining hands with Tek Fog, and what is India’s Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunications up to? Why hasn’t the Ministry realised how dire the situation is?” Shrinate inquired during a press conference.

She claimed the government was evasive about using Pegasus to spy on people, such as politicians and media, and the Supreme Court is currently investigating the matter.
