One of the accused in the Bhima-Koregaon violence case, professor Shoma Sen, approached the Bombay High Court challenging prosecution under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

The petitioner was arrested around three years ago.

Sen’s counsel Rahul Aaorte submitted that she claims that the evidence against her and other human rights activists was planted.

Similar to Rona Wislon, Sen too relied on a US-based digital forensic report to conclude that the digital evidence was planted.

Rona Wilson previously contended that the evidences being used for his prosecution was planted in his laptop around 2 years prior to his arrest.

He also sought directions for constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by a retired High Court Judge to carry on further investigation in the case.
