The Allahabad High Court directed a Mathura Court to dispose of all cases pertaining to the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid Dispute within four months.

Disposing of a Petition filed by Bhagwan Shri Krishna Virajman and another, Justice Salil Kumar Rai said, “The Civil Judge (Senior Division), Mathura, is directed to decide the aforesaid applications expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months from the date a Certified Copy of this Order is produced before him and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the affected parties, in case there is no legal impediment in deciding the aforesaid applications.”

In his Plea, the Petitioner had claimed that his Application for Temporary Injunction, restraining members and people related to Sunni Waqf Board from entering 13 acres of land of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in UP’s Mathura was not being decided by the Trial Court in the District.

While issuing the Orders to the Trial Court in Mathura, the High Court, however, clarified that it has not expressed any opinion either regarding the maintainability of the case or the merits of the claim made by the Petitioner.
