Mathura Court accepts appeal to remove mosque in Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi

The District Judge’s Court has accepted the petition to remove the mosque from Shri Krishna’s Janmabhoomi in Mathura.

Earlier, the suit was dismissed by the Civil Judge.

The petition has put forth the demand to remove the Idgah Mosque and the ownership of 13.37 acres of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi to Shri Krishna Virajman.

It is said that the place where it is a mosque today was initially the jail of Kansa and a temple of Krishna. The Mughals invaded and demolished the structure to build the mosque.

In 1968, an agreement took place which Sri Krishna Janmasthana Seva Sansthan itself had signed with the Muslim representatives for two and a half rupees. The agreement handed over parts of the land to each other.

Many devotees thought and demanded that the agreement that was made on October 12, 1968, and the decree on July 20, 1973, should be repealed.
