The Delhi High Court today sought the CBI’s (Central Bureau of Investigation’s) response on BJP MP Maneka Gandhi’s plea challenging a trial court order rejecting its closure report in a corruption case against her and two others.
The High Court bench of Justice Yogesh Khanna has directed CBI for further investigation in the matter.
Justice Khanna had also put on hold the 4th February order given by the special court.
As per the graft case filed, Maneka Gandhi and two others had allegedly granted Rs. 50 lakh as a fund to a trust fraudulently in 2006.
The special CBI court had asked for further investigation against public servants as the case prima facie was criminal misconduct and criminal conspiracy by public servants.
